1. Do you have any study centre or centres outside Bangalore ?
   No. We have no centres outside Bangalore.
   
2. Do you have examination centres outside Bangalore ?
   No. The centre is National Law School of India University, Bangalore for theory as well as Viva. During exam, outstation students are provided hostel accommodation, at moderate rates.
   
3. What is the duration of the exam ?
   It is for 6 days total. 5 theory papers on 5 days, at the rate of 1 paper per day. On the 6th day, viva in all 5 subjects is arranged. Outstation students are given preference to enable them to take evening train or flight. General Briefing Session (Main Exam only) will be scheduled to be held in the morning for 3 hours on each day of theory examination paper.
   
4. Can we practice in Law Courts by doing MBL ?
   No. Bar Council of India, New Delhi has prescribed LL.B. degree and that too by regular course from a Law College, recognised by the Bar Council of India (to impart legal education).
   
5. Is MBL equivalent to LL.B. ?
   No, Degreewise it is not but contentwise it is more than LL.B., minus the Court practicals.
   
6. Is MBL equivalent to LL.M. ?
   No, Degreewise it is not but contentwise it is more than LL.M. LL.M. has a narrow specialisation when compared with MBL. ALL Laws required to be known by a business law consultant / Advisor / Officer, are included in the curriculum. The course is theoretical as well as practical oriented.
   
7. Is it necessary that all papers be taken at a time ?
   No, the student can choose to write all papers or some of them.
   
8. What is the criteria for selecting admission to MBL ?
   Any graduate in any discipline is eligible to join. At present no entrance test is prescribed. But it is likely to be introduced soon.
   
   
9. What are the job opportunities after MBL ?
   An MBL is always preferred over any other graduate, as he specialises in as many as ten areas which are very partinent to the business community. She / He can do all the tasks which an LL.B. graduate can do, except appearing in Courts of Law. MBL graduate can be a Law Officer / Legal Assistant / Legal Advisor in all the areas of business requirement. He / She will be preferred for posts in Banks, Factories, Industrial Houses, Companies, Railways, Commerce and Trade Departments of Government, Central or State Government Offices, other Statutory bodies of the Central or State Government.
   
10. What are the formalities for taking the M.B.L. exam ?
    A candidate who is desirous of writing the examination, must submit projects, module assignments and pay the exam fees of Rs.200 per paper, at least 15 days before the commencement of the exam.
    
    Those who want to write in some papers only, they can submit projects and assignments in these papers only and pay fees at the above rate.
    
11. Is there a time limit for completion of course ?
    M.B.L. is a 2 year course. It is expected to be completed within 2 years, i.e. in all 3 exam chances. If it is not possible, a candidate can plan the scheme of writing the papers. He will have in all 9 exam chances in 5 years, within which he should complete 10 papers, firstly Part-I and after completing Part-I, then Part-II papers.
    
12. Can Part-I and Part-II M.B.L. be taken all together ?
    After completing Part I, i.e. getting minimum ‘B’ grade in each paper, a candidate can take Part-II at the immediately next exam. He cannot write both exams together.
    
13. If the course is not completed within 2 years, what can be done ?
    If the 2 year course is not completed within the prescribed 2 years, a candidate can still pursue the course till he completes the course or for 3 years more, whichever is earlier. However, such candidate will have to pay a continuation fee of Rs.2500/- per year. This will enable him to retain his enrollment for a period of maximum 5 years.
    
14. What if the candidate does not complete the course in 5 years ?
    If the candidate does not pass or complete the course, his enrollment ceases. He will have to register afresh by following the usual procedures prescribed for first admission. His performance at the earlier exams is not carried forward. He will have to redo the entire academic exercise prescribed, in the syllabus.
    
15. Will Hostel facility be available at the time of Exam ?
    As the exam centre being Bangalore, the Law School will provide accommodation, in the Campus Hostels, at moderate rates, during the exam. Canteen / Mess facility will also be made available at moderate rates.
    
    
16. Can the M.B.L. candidate use NLSIU Library ?
    Yes. But each time he must carry his Identity Card.
    
17. Whether the attendance in the Contact Class Programme is compulsory ?
    Attendance in the Contact Class Programme is optional.
