ELIGIBILITY

A candidate for admission to the LL.M. course should have passed the LL.B. Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University and should have secured not less than 55% of marks in the aggregate of the maximum marks prescribed.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed form by or before the last date prescribed for the submission of application form. Application forms can be obtained from the Convenor, CLAT by sending a Demand Draft for a sum which will be notified on the CLAT website www.clat.ac.in , or by downloading the application form from the website and submitting it with a Demand Draft for the specified amount. The DD should be drawn in favour of the Convenor, CLAT on the State Bank of India or any Nationalised Bank.

Reservation of seats will be made in accordance with applicable Law.

The Law School may adopt a separate selection procedure for admitting the candidates for LL.M. from among those sponsored by Governments, Universities and other bodies without diluting the minimum standards required for LL.M. admission.

The Common Law Entrance Test(CLAT) for the LL.M. is held along with the entrance test for the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) of the NLSIU on the first Sunday of May every year. Generally, the foreign candidates are not expected to take the entrance test. Flexibility is extended to sponsored candidates as indicated earlier.
