The CSSEIP has started acquiring books and relevant reports for its newly established library. It has already acquired close to 600 books on issues pertaining to the research mandate of the CSSEIP. The library book collection includes academic and non-academic publications on caste, religious and tribal minorities of India. The library also subscribes to important social science journals published in India like the Economic and Political Weekly, Seminar, Contributions to Indian Sociology and Mainstream. The Centre also wishes to acquire documentary and feature films that powerfully represent issues of social exclusion. Efforts will also be made to collect a small number of influential books on issues of social marginality and exclusion from other societies outside India . The CSSEIP faculty aim to build a library which will serve as an extensive database for issues of social exclusion in the country and be of use to scholars, students and social movement activists.
