Profile
Malavika Prasad is an advocate based in Bengaluru. Her practice areas are civil and commercial disputes across various Indian courts, but her heart lies in questions of public law. In her doctoral work, she examines what is cooperative about ‘cooperative federalism’ in the Indian Constitution. Her thesis was examined by Professors Upendra Baxi, Kamala Sankaran and Arun K Thiruvengadam and she was conferred the PhD in 2024. Previously, she served as a law-clerk for Justice S. Ravindra Bhat, at the Delhi High Court. She holds degrees from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad and the University of Michigan Law School as a Grotius Fellow.
