This seminar course on competition law will build on prior courses in economics and commercial regulation more generally. Students are regularly exposed to a vast array of competition law commentary, scholarship, and judicial developments. However, absent a solid bedrock of conceptual clarity, it is difficult to truly appreciate competition law in practice, including the more novel debates of recent years (e.g. digital competition).

Accordingly, this course mixes a rigorous understanding of the fundamentals and their application to real world situations. To this end, all teaching sessions will include a lecture component (explaining and clarifying certain concepts) and a discussion component (where students will deal with real world cases and share their understanding of the issues at hand in such cases).
