Profile

Anahita is a human rights practitioner and trainer and has worked at the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) for 7 years. At CSJ, Anahita led capacity-building initiatives for a network of lawyers and paralegals to provide legal support to victims of human rights abuses. She has developed pedagogical frameworks and tools for training community-based lawyers and paralegals. She has also led multiple action research studies, translating grassroots practice into policy reform on a range of thematics including justice system reform and rights of disaster victims. Drawing on this practice base, Anahita has facilitated trainings for civil society leaders on CSJ’s frameworks to assist organisations in designing their own legal empowerment programmes.
