An alumnus of Hidayatullah National Law University (2021), Garima holds an LL.M. in Human Rights and Criminal Law from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. Her professional journey is rooted in socio-legal research and advocacy for marginalised communities. Prior to joining NLSIU, she served as a Research Consultant with the Criminal Justice and Police Accountability Project (CPA Project), where she contributed to a year-long study on wildlife policing and the criminalisation of forest-dwelling communities.
Subsequently, she worked as a Law Researcher at the Centre for Research and Planning, Supreme Court of India, under the tenure of Hon’ble Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, focussing on the SC JUDICARE (Judicial Disposal through Case Management and Resource Efficiency project). Now, as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Child and the Law (CCL), NLSIU, she will be dedicated to the Right to Food Programme. Her work would focus on strengthening the implementation of legal frameworks to ensure food security for children and advancing advocacy for progressive legislative reforms.
