Dr Kanika Gauba has previously been associated with NLSIU as a visiting faculty.

Her research draws upon the humanities, particularly history and philosophy, to study the relationship between law and the political. Her doctoral work introduces the concept of ‘haemopolitics’ to rethink the political community at the Indian constitutional founding.

She holds a doctorate from Birkbeck, University of London, and her postgraduate and graduate degrees in law from National Law University, Delhi. At NLSIU, she hopes to continue teaching critical legal philosophy, constitutional history, and political thought.
