Course Description

This course, which is offered as a concentration core course for LL.M. students, intends to introduce students to diverse issues at the interface of law and technology. While it is impossible to cover all issues at the interface of law and technology through a single course, with the help of careful curation of topics, the course will familiarise students with some of the most contested and relevant issues in the area. The discussions relating to those topics are intended to act as a base for reflection on the broader public interest issues in the area. The discussions are also intended to help students gain broader insights on how law influences the evolution of technology and vice-versa. The specific topics intended to be covered as part of this course include artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, data protection, and data governance.
