Amzad joins NLSIU as a Graduate Research Fellow. His research interests include philosophy, politics, economy and law. His work is centred around the questions of Liberty and its role in distributive justice by grounding it in the philosophy of the Indian Constitution.

His doctoral thesis argues that people can be unfree in the market even in the absence of coercion. He has presented his work at various national and international platforms, including his book review of The Tyranny of Merit: What’s Become of the Common Good? Michael Sandel’s (2020) work was published in the Sage Journal of Human and Society.

He holds a BA (Hons.) in Political Science from University of Delhi, and a MA in Political Science from Jamia Millia Islamia.
