As NLSIU continues to strengthen its position as India’s leading law school, the University remains committed to ensuring that students are able to access an NLSIU education, irrespective of their financial circumstances. Alongside expanding academic programmes, strengthening research, enhancing student life and developing campus infrastructure, NLSIU continues to place student access and inclusion at the heart of its growth.

Our alumni have always played an important role in this journey. Over the years, alumni have established named scholarships, supported student financial aid, contributed to infrastructure and academic initiatives, and strengthened the University’s long-term vision through both individual and class gifts. The success of the Financial Aid Drive in 2021 and the University’s first Alumni Giving Month in 2022 demonstrated the generosity of the NLSIU community, with alumni from across India and around the world coming together to invest in the next generation of students.

Building on this momentum, NLSIU is launching the NLSIU Giving Campaign 2026, a two-month campaign that invites alumni and friends of the University to support the institution’s continued growth. While the campaign will highlight the many ways philanthropy strengthens NLSIU – from teaching and research to student life, sustainability, and campus development – its primary fundraising focus will be Scholarships and Financial Aid, ensuring that no deserving student is denied the opportunity to study at NLSIU because of financial constraints.

The campaign also marks the launch of the NLSIU Alumni Annual Fund, NLSIU’s annual giving community. In honour of the University’s Foundation year, 1988, Alumni contributing ₹1,988 and above will become members of the NLSIU Alumni Annual Fund and join a growing community committed to sustaining excellence, expanding access and shaping the future of legal education in India.

Running from 24 August to 24 October 2026, the campaign will feature student stories, alumni testimonials, institutional milestones, donor spotlights and updates on the impact of philanthropy across the University. Through these stories, we hope to celebrate the collective spirit of the NLSIU community and invite alumni to give back in whatever way they can, ensuring that future generations of students continue to benefit from the transformative education that has shaped thousands of NLSIU graduates.
