Shreeja is a dual-qualified lawyer with seven years of experience spanning litigation, legal research, gender justice programming and advocacy in India and the United Kingdom. She qualified as an Advocate in India and practised litigation in Chennai, across family law, domestic violence, constitutional, civil, and criminal matters. She then pursued a multidisciplinary LL.M from SOAS, University of London and subsequently qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales. She continued to consult with clients in India and the UK on matters requiring an understanding of both jurisdictions.

Shreeja worked in London for two years at a non-profit organisation supporting migrant women and children experiencing domestic abuse. She sees legal practice and research as complementary ways to understand and improve justice systems, and her research focuses on utilising legal frameworks to advance social and gender justice.
