Course Description:
Research Methodology is a mandatory course for both LL.M. and Ph.D. students at NLSIU. As the primary objective of the course is to enable the post-graduate and doctoral students to embark on their research journeys by improving their research skills and scholarly communication skills, the course takes an activity based learning approach. The course takes into consideration the diversity of the class, both in terms of the background of students as well as the expected research outputs from their programmes. While this course is conceptualised as an introduction to research methods, it is also intended to enable students to think critically about some of the contemporary challenges in research and scholarly communication, as important stakeholders. As part of the course, scholars from within and outside NLSIU will be invited to share their perspectives on different topics discussed as part of the course. Additional reading materials may be distributed through LMS and this link may be used for accessing the most updated version of the course outline.
