Profile

Abhinash Mohanta is a legal academic and researcher with over six years of teaching experience across leading law schools in India, including University Law College (Utkal University), Xavier Law School (XIM University), KIIT School of Law (KIIT Deemed to be University) before joining as Visiting Faculty at NLSIU, Bengaluru. His teaching spans a wide array of subjects such as Public and Private International Law, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Administrative Law, Information & Technology Law, Religion & Human Rights, Citizenship and Immigration Law, Civil Society & Public Grievance, Code of Civil Procedure.

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at KIIT Deemed to be University, with his doctoral research focused on International Law and Refugee Rights. His work engages with the intersections of constitutional imperatives, international legal obligations, and the protection of displaced populations within the Indian legal framework.

He also served as Translator and Expert Reviewer for the official translation of the Constitution of India into Odia, a project of the National Translation Mission (CIIL, Mysuru) on behalf of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The translated Constitution was released by the Hon’ble President of India on 26 November 2025, contributing to linguistic inclusion and accessibility of constitutional texts in regional languages.
