Profile

Akarshitha Yaji serves as a Legal Consultant with SASHA, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing Anti-Sexual Harassment compliance across diverse organisations. As an external member engaged by 35 entities, she advises on all facets of ASH compliance, including policy formulation, annual reporting, and resolving operational queries. Her extensive experience includes conducting quasi-judicial inquiries of varying complexity for corporate clients and the Government of Karnataka.

Actively committed to awareness-building initiatives, Akarshitha has conducted numerous seminars, workshops, and orientation sessions to educate employees, senior leadership, and internal committee members on ASH compliance. Additionally, she dedicates her expertise to pro bono efforts, supporting waste pickers’ associations, aggregation centers, universities, and educational institutions with ASH-related compliance and training.

Akarshitha is also the co-founder of Paralex, a consultancy that bridges the intersection of law and policy. Through Paralex, she provides on-demand research, drafting, and diligence support to advocates and firms across diverse legal domains such as service law, family law, Alternate Dispute Resolution, banking law, property law, GST, and medical negligence. Her consultancy extends to assisting policy organisations and think tanks with drafting proposals, conducting impact assessments, and developing marketing material. Additionally, she offers solicitor services directly to clients, including legal advisory and conveyancing. As a dedicated legal educator, she has also appeared on regional television segments to disseminate legal knowledge to a broader audience.
