Profile

Aparna Ravi is a Partner at Samvad Partners in Bangalore, where her practice focuses on banking and finance, insolvency law, private equity and venture capital investments and general corporate advisory matters. Prior to joining Samvad, Aparna worked in the corporate and capital markets departments at the New York and London offices of the law firm, Weil Gotshal & Manges, and subsequently as in-house counsel at Credit Suisse in London.

Aparna was a member of the Bankruptcy Law Reform Committee constituted by the Central Government and writes and delivers lectures regularly on insolvency law reform in India. She also edited the 6th edition of Mulla The Law of Insolvency in India, a treatise on personal insolvency law that was published by LexisNexis in September 2017. Aparna serves as a trustee on the international board of Article 19, an international not-for-profit that focuses on freedom of expression and the protection of journalists. Aparna is qualified to practice law in India and in New York.
