Profile

Champaka Rajagopal, PhD brings over twenty-five years of experience of having worked with national, state and local governments in India and abroad on urban policy, planning and governance. She is Professor Affiliate, Urban School, Sciences Po, Paris, Trustee on the Board of IJURR Foundation, UK (International Journal of Urban and Regional Research Foundation) and Founder, Director, The Entrepreneurship and Partnerships Lab, Bengaluru.

Previously, she co-led the Draft Development Plan for Greater Mumbai 2034, a statutory plan, managed and worked on multiple large public projects including the Revised Master Plan 2015, Bengaluru and the Perspective Plan for Bangalore-Mumbai Economic Corridor Region, a project of the then Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Region Development Corporation. 

Research Interests

  • Governance of urban planning and design, infrastructure governance, Public-Private Partnerships, state-business relationships, firms, entrepreneurship, innovation, public contracts, incomplete contracts and risks.
