Profile
Jai has been teaching Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law at NLSIU since 2024.
He previously worked for the Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR). He also co-managed the Supreme Court Observer, reporting on cases such as ‘Indian Young Lawyers Association’ and ‘Navtej Singh Johar’. After CLPR, he interned for the Chief Justice of India, Dr D Y Chandrachud.
He holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge. While at Cambridge, Jai sat on the Board of Editors for the Cambridge Law Review. For his dissertation, he examined the limits of legal transplantation through an analysis of the indirect discrimination test in Lt. Cl. Nitisha’. He was awarded the Lizette Bentwich Prize by Trinity College for performance on examinations.
His research interests lie in jurisprudence and public law.
