Profile
Prashanth is a Partner at Dentons Link Legal, Bengaluru, and is dual qualified as an advocate in India and a non-practicing solicitor in England & Wales. He specialises in the areas of Projects, Infrastructure & Energy, Construction, Banking & Finance, General Corporate & Commercial practices.
With over twenty five years of experience, both in India and abroad, Prashanth has worked with leading commercial law firms in India and abroad, and also as a senior in-house counsel and his expertise lies in general corporate law, commercial contracts, infrastructure, construction, oil & gas, renewables & clean energy, electricity, ports, banking & project finance, foreign investments, real estate, waste management and regulatory & policy advisory work. Prashanth has advised a wide variety of clients such as private clients, multinational companies, multi-lateral agencies, as well as public sector and government owned/ funded entities across the entire life cycle of projects ranging from tenders, policy development, investments, joint ventures, construction/EPC and O&M agreements, financing and security documents, concessions and PPP and a variety of post-operational issues.
A graduate from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, (1997 batch), he has also authored and published the book titled “Investing in India’s Infrastructure and Energy Sectors – Laws and Practise” published by Thomson Reuters in 2021. He has also been invited to regularly speak at various law-related forums on contemporary legal developments and legal issues and has been part of various law-oriented training sessions for various industry groups.
