Srujana Bej graduated with a BA LLB (Hons.) degree from NALSAR, Hyderabad. Thereafter, she earned an LLM degree in Critical Legal Studies at Harvard Law School.
She previously taught Labour Law II and Critical Property at Jindal Global Law School. She also worked at the Criminal Justice and Police Accountability Project, where she studied the casteist and colonial underpinnings of India’s criminal justice system.
Srujana’s research on the criminal justice system was cited in the Parliament, and her research on Aadhaar’s impact on the right to food was cited by the Supreme Court and in the Parliament. Her research interests lie in critical approaches to property, labour law, and caste.
