Profile

Sudipto writes longform non-fiction. His work has appeared in, among others, The Economist, Documentary, Mekong Review, The Smart Set, PopMatters, and The Hindu. He was Assistant Professor of English at Techno India University between 2014 and 2021, and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Studies at Jadavpur University. His doctoral dissertation is titled “An Uncertain Poetics of the Intoxicated Narrative: Drugs, Detection, Denouement.” He is on the editorial boards of the Palgrave Studies in Screen Industries and Performance series, Rhizomes: Cultural Studies in Emerging Knowledge, and the Journal of Film and Video.
