Aditya Birla Scholarships | Five Students from NLS Named Aditya Birla Scholars for 2023-24

We are pleased to announce that five NLS students from the BA LLB (Hons) programme have been awarded the Aditya Birla Scholarships for 2023-2024. This is the most number of Aditya Birla Scholarships bagged by a single institution this year! The scholarships have been awarded to 47 students from across 21 institutions/universities in the categories of Management, Law, and Engineering.

The scholarship recognises outstanding students in the management, law and engineering streams, and encourages young leaders to make their mark in the world. We congratulate our students and wish them the very best for their academic journeys ahead.  The Aditya Birla Scholars from NLSIU for 2023-24 are:

About the Scholarship 

Instituted in 1999, the Aditya Birla Scholarships programme endeavours to nurture tomorrow’s leaders today. The Scholarship is awarded to students who show not just academic grit but also extra-curricular excellence and have a passion to lead and change the world. (Source: adityabirlascholars.net) 

Until now, 731 outstanding students have been named Aditya Birla Scholars. The Law stream was added under these scholarships in 2013, and since then, over 40 students from NLSIU have been named Aditya Birla Scholars, and have benefitted from this scholarship programme.

The Selection Process

This year, the top 20 students from premier institutes were evaluated during the selection process based on which 112 candidates were shortlisted from a total of 389 applicants. Of these shortlisted candidates, 47 aspirants were named Aditya Birla Scholars by a distinguished jury panel.

The Trust sanctions the scholarship based on its own selection process, following which the names of the awardees are communicated to the University. The University not involved in the process of selection of candidates. The Aditya Birla Scholarship covers the entire fee of the programme including the hostel charges (as per the terms and conditions of the scholarship).
