Dr. Amrutha Nisthul A holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Biochemistry) and previously served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Calicut.
Her research operates at the intersection of molecular oncology, translational biotechnology, and precision medicine, with an emphasis on elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression and evaluating novel therapeutic strategies against melanoma. A core area of her work involves investigating the synergistic anticancer potential of natural compounds, such as cucurbitacin B, in combination with targeted therapies and conventional chemotherapeutic agents. Methodologically, she integrates experimental approaches-including advanced cell culture, cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and molecular biology assays-with bioinformatics-driven data analysis to identify and assess promising therapeutic interventions.
She is passionate about advancing interdisciplinary research that bridges fundamental science, technology, and clinical applications, with the goal of developing effective solutions to improve human health.
