Ragini Ahuja joined NLSIU as Director-Clinics to design, deliver and manage the experiential learning programme at the law school. Ragini will draw from her significant litigation experience to design new clinical programmes and bring in synergies in pro bono services, externships, and other aspects of clinical education and experiential learning.

Ragini graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi followed by a Bachelor’s degree in law from University of Delhi. She has extensive experience in pro bono litigation and has litigated civil liberties and death sentence cases for close to a decade. She was a member of the Law Commission’s sub committee to review capital punishment that released its report in August 2015 (Law Commission of India, 262nd report). She was accepted to Columbia University as a LLM Human Rights Fellow where she studied at the Challenging the Consequences of Mass Incarceration Clinic, which focussed on litigation related to conditions of confinement.
