Profile

Sridhar Krishnan holds a PhD in International Relations from South Asian University, New Delhi. His research engages with questions of history, power, and political imagination in South Asia with a focus on curatorial politics. He has been a recipient of the UK Travel Award by Nehru Trust for Indian Collections at the Victoria and Albert Museum (2023), the Charles Wallace India Trust Research Grant (2022), and the IPSA-NUS Methods School Grant (2019). His most recent research article, ‘Of Histories (Un)shared: India-Pakistan Postage Stamps and 1857’ (2023), argued that even small rectangles of paper carry the heavy burden of nationalist memory-making. More recently, he dabbled on a somewhat more ‘spirited’ contribution on ‘Vodka, NATO and Bosnia’ – an experiment in mixing of politics and alcohol, both of which he advises are great in moderation. Sridhar currently lives in Kochi, Kerala where he divides his time between his kitchen, laptop, and convincing himself that he is a decent bartender.
