Labour Law I is a compulsory course as per the Bar council of India rules.  In this course, which is also called as Industrial Relations Law, four legislations will be taught.  They are Trade Union Act, 1926, Industrial Dispute Act, 1947; Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 and Contract Labour (Regulation and abolition) Act, 1970.  As for as possible these legislations will be taught in an integrated way, with the help of the Jurisprudence developed by the Supreme Court of India.  Reference will be made to the relevant provisions of the Constitution of Indian and the Conventions or recommendation of International Labour Organization.  The Course is divided into 7 modules among organised in a sequential order.
