Profile

Ragini Ahuja is Director-Clinics at NLSIU and leads the experiential learning programme at the law school. Prior to joining NLSIU, Ragini was litigating for close to a decade. Her area of litigation includes defending people on death row, civil liberties cases, custodial violence and other issues related to conditions of incarceration. Besides litigation, Ragini was also a part of the Law Commission’s endevour to review capital punishment which culminated in a report in August 2015 (Law Commission of India, 262nd report).

At NLSIU, Ragini is drawing from her significant litigation experience to develop a more clinical curriculum for law students that is based on the intersection of academics and practice.
