NLSIU invites applications for the role of Editor, Journals. The Editor will be responsible for anchoring research, writing, editorial and publication support for NLSIU’s faculty and research centres.
The role is full-time, based out of the NLSIU campus in Bangalore.
Role Description
- Reorganise editorial and publishing activity at NLSIU, including:
○ Streamlining the editorial process of University Journals
○ Editing and launching an academic research blog
○ Handling external engagements with publishers and online platforms - Promote online presence of NLS research output, including:
○ Inclusion of academic papers on relevant research networks
○ Maintain and promote publication and research centre sections of the University website in collaboration with the communications team - Develop and implement a Writing Support Centre which provides for:
○ Writing and publication support for NLSIU faculty and research centres
○ Writing support and assistance workshops and individual sessions with faculty and research students
Who Should Apply
- Graduate Degree in any discipline; Master’s degree preferred
- 7 or more years of work experience in related fields in a publishing or editorial role
- Editorial, publishing or related experience in research or academia will be preferred
