Apoorv is currently a PhD candidate at NLSIU where his research is focussed on the criminal enforcement of copyright. He was previously at NLSIU as an Academic Fellow (May 2023-Nov 2024), following which he worked as a Research Analyst at the Centre for Research in Innovation Law for Shared Prosperity (CRISP) at BITS Law School, Mumbai. At BITS, he was responsible for coordinating the CRISP’s research activities, supporting publication of research outputs and managing research logistics.

He was also engaged with the Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property, and Competition Law at National Law University, Delhi, where he contributed to the development of open-source textbooks on IP and competition law.

At both NLSIU and NLU Delhi, he was involved in developing and offering off-campus online and hybrid programmes.

Apoorv completed his BA LLB from NUALS Kochi and LLM from Cochin University of Science and Technology, specialising in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
