Profile
Manish joined NLSIU in February 2026 as a Visiting Faculty for the Programme in Indian Languages and Literatures, currently being offered as part of the NLS BA (Hons) programme.
Previously, Manish worked with Aarhus University, Denmark, as a Hindi Instructor for two years. He has also served as a Post Language Programme Instructor at the Embassy of the United States of America, New Delhi.
His primary areas of interest include Hindi language and literature pedagogy, medieval Hindi poetry, and its socio-political relations. His doctoral work focussed on ‘Medieval Devotional Poetry,’ and he remains deeply interested in the study of devotional movements across the various traditions of the literary world. He is also the author of the Practical Hindi series.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Manish has a passion for cooking, swimming, and running.
