Profile

Nivedita has been a practising statistician for over twenty years. She is currently a visiting statistical expert at the Department of Research, Singhealth Polyclinics, Singapore. She is involved in guiding and mentoring junior statisticians in their projects. Additionally, she conducts workshops on basic biostatistics for physicians and advanced statistical methodology ones for statisticians. She also regularly does consultation for industry based contract research organizations.

She was faculty at the Center for Quantitative Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore for six years prior to her current engagement. Her work there involved collaborative research with clinicians and health economists, mentoring medical students and doctors, and teaching Statistics from a medical and public health perspective. She was responsible for co-developing the curriculum for workshops for the Singhealth residency program that is mandatory for all resident doctors who work within the governmental healthcare system in Singapore.
