Profile
Varun’s research interests include the interplay between various contractual remedies. Currently, he is pursuing his doctorate on the interplay between the remedy of damages and specific performance of contract.
Varun joined NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, as a Teaching Associate in 2016. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Law at NALSAR in 2017 and continued teaching there till 2025. Over the last nine years, Varun has taught courses on General Principles of Contract, Specific Contracts, Code of Civil Procedure, Civil Remedies and ‘Equity’ as a system of adjudication in private law. Using his experience in teaching commercial law courses, he has revised the 7th edition of Avtar Singh’s Textbook on Contract and Specific Relief, and the 11th edition of Avtar Singh’s Business Laws.
At NALSAR, he also was in administrative roles such as Chief Warden, academic committee member, member of the proctorial board, etc., among others.
