Rashi is an international child rights, public policy, and research professional with over eight years of experience working across grassroots, policy institutions, and government advisory roles in India and the UK.
Rashi joined NLS as Senior Research Associate on the Project on ‘Right to Food Programme’ at the Centre for Child and the Law (CCL) in January 2026.
Rashi’s research focusses on the intersectionality between children’s right to participation and protection. She has developed and submitted policy recommendations to the National and State Governments for enhancing budgetary allocation towards children’s education and nutrition, designed campaigns and action plan for Poshan Abhiyan and combating child labour.
She has worked extensively with children and communities, focussing on advancing child protection, child participation, education, right to nutrition, and social protection through rights-based and evidence-driven approaches.
Her interdisciplinary academic background and specialisation in child rights strengthens her work. She holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Christ University, Bengaluru. She also has a Master’s in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, and an MA in International Child Rights and Development from King’s College, London. She also completed her PG Diploma in Child Rights Law from NLSIU, Bengaluru.
