This course develops on the core arbitration law course taught at Law School. It will take the students through the stages of a typical arbitration so that they get a practical insight into how an arbitration is conducted from start to finish. They will learn how to draft various documents and pleadings such as a notice of arbitration, a statement of claim, a document request; how to assist in preparation of witness statements and conduct cross-examinations; and generally, what to expect at each stage of an arbitration. The course will involve a combination of lectures, discussion and drafting exercises.
