Usha D S

Usha graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Bengaluru University and has over 20 years of work experience including 14 years in University administration. Following her graduation, she worked with NETWORK, an electronic typewriters manufacturing company, for six years.

She joined NLSIU during April 2008 where she was posted at the Distance Education Department (now PACE). She later worked with the Finance department for a brief period following which she worked at the Vice Chancellor’s office for eight years. Since July 2021, she is leading a team of three in the Academic Administration Department.

Vidya S G

Vidya has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Bangalore University and a Master’s Degree in Commerce from Kuvempu University. She holds a Diploma in Modern Office Practice. Prior to joining the University, she worked in the skills and talent development corporation NIIT, Davangere as a Front Office Counsellor.

She joined the University in 2000. During her 22-year journey at NLS, she has worked in the Examination department (now AAD), Distance Education Department (now PACE), the Finance Department, and the Registrar’s Office. Since 2020, she has been managing the Vice-Chancellor’s office at NLSIU.

Vidya Shree M. G.

Vidya Shree M G, joined NLSIU in December 2023 as an Academic Accreditation Consultant. She has previously worked with educational institutions, and taught subjects such as Data Structures, Digital fluency, Theory of Computation, and Computer Architecture during her tenure as an Assistant Professor at St. Claret College.

Vidya Shree graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Applications degree in 2013. Her passion for technology and data science led her to pursue an M.Sc. in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru.

She also holds a certification in Graphic and Web Designing and has worked as a Graphic and Web Designer at Ekfrazo Technologies. Outside of her professional pursuits, Vidya Shree also likes to draw intricate Rangolis and designing e-invites.

Vinayashree Jagadeesh

Vinayashree joined NLSIU in 2020 to set up the Communications Office at the University. She has around 11 years of work experience including writing, reporting, editing, content creation, and communications. Vinaya began her career as a journalist with the The Hindu (Kasturi and Sons) and later as a Senior Correspondent with The Times of India (Bennett Coleman and Co.). Her reporting roles covered different beats, predominantly focusing on crime reporting, education, as well as human interest stories. She briefly worked with a content & design studio as a Brand Storyteller before switching to a full time communications role at NLS.

At NLSIU, Vinayashree has handled internal and external communications for nearly four years now. This includes creating, editing and monitoring of content for various channels of communication including the University’s websites, social media platforms, brochures, annual reports, and press statements.  She coordinates with several internal and external stakeholders of the University on various initiatives, projects and marketing/brand campaigns among others.

She  graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, English, and Psychology from NMKRV (RV Group), Bangalore University, following which she completed her postgraduation in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai with a specialisation in the broadcast stream.

Vinaya is also passionate about theatre and has performed in English, Kannada and Tamil plays. She has also briefly worked with a theatre production company.
