Mousumi is an applied economist working on interdisciplinary and sustainable public policy related issues. She is as an ad-hoc faculty at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) University, Bengaluru. She is also a consultant at the International Food Policy Research Institute, Washington DC.
She has previously worked with the NCAER India, Xavier Institute of Management University Bhubaneshwar, LEAD and GSB KREA University Chennai, World Bank India, United Nations South-South Office, TISS Hyderabad and IFPRI, Washington DC. Her research papers and significant projects focusses on the regions of Asia-Pacific and Africa.
Mousumi has won several global fellowships and awards. She has been referred to and published in high-impact national and international journals.
