Profile
Jan is a graduate of the Energy and Climate Law programme at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, where he wrote his dissertation on public participation in the context of nuclear energy development under the guidance of Prof. Lorenzo Squintani. After graduating he moved on to the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) in Poland in the field of energy, where he worked in the Unit of Electricity Market Development which oversaw many matters related to the functioning of Transmission System Operators and Distribution System Operators. At the international level, Jan was a part of the Polish NRA team which took part in the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators taskforces related to Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management as well as Forward Capacity Allocation. His areas of professional interest include public participation in energy projects, nuclear energy as well as functioning of interconnected energy markets (especially in the European context).
