Profile
Madhavi graduated with a B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) from National Law School of India University in 2019 and read for the Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford as a Felix scholar. She is currently working as a Research Associate with the Centre for Asian Legal Studies at National University of Singapore. Prior to joining CALS, Madhavi worked with the competition law team of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. She has also worked as a Research Fellow with the Law Technology and Society Initiative of NLSIU.
Madhavi’s research interests lie in competition regulation of digital platforms. The impact of digital platforms including search engines, app stores, social media, e-commerce, aggregators and communication platforms and emerging technologies such as metaverse, artificial intelligence and Web3 on consumers, markets and the society as a whole intrigues her. She is currently examining the potential for competition law to regulate digital platforms and emerging technologies and its overlap with other regulatory frameworks such as data protection and privacy.
