Profile

Malini Chidambaram is an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Melbourne Law School’s Academic Research Services.

Her broad research interests include child and the law, family law, critical legal theory and law and humanities. Her LL.M. research, exploring the intersections of international law, visual cultures and children’s rights, was selected for publication in the Melbourne Law School Human Rights Program’s Working Paper Series for ‘novel perspective and innovative scholarship in the field of human rights.’ She completed her B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) as a gold medalist and recipient of the Dean’s Award for Outstanding All-Round Performance.

Malini engages with art as an academic-adjacent interest. One of her projects includes a rendition of Justitia, which is used as poster art by the Indian Feminist Judgments Project.
