Research Seminar Course
Approach: This seminar course aims to explore the legal challenges that sports faces both at national as well as international level and through class discussions it aims at developing possible solutions for the said challenges. The course will inter alia comprise discussions on pertinent current issues such as spot fixing and gambling, doping controversies, sports and broadcasting law, dispute resolution of sports disputes. Further, this course will contain discussions on possible legal challenges that sports may pose in the near future in India and lessons that India can draw from the experience of development of sports law internationally.
Both primary and secondary sources will be used for this course.
Pedagogical method: Lectures and seminar style discussion. Students will be asked to submit a Seminar Paper at the end of the course.
